Graceocalypse

Giving a damn since 2008!
Though we all come from different backgrounds, we come together despite everything against us to promote and enhance our commomalities of Love and Grace through the study and discussion of Scripture. It is through these times of study and discussion, with input from all our diverse backgrounds, we grasp a better understanding of Gods character, creation, and understand that the Kingdom of Heaven is open to everyone.

  • Allah loves you too.

*this is a personal post written from what I have grown to believe is at the heart of The Brewery, although some may not agree with me*

If I ever was mistakenly put on television as a Pastor, I would end my “show” (see how quickly ministry turned to fame there) with the phrase, “Remember family, act in Shalom, there is Victory in Jesus, and Allah loves you!”

There is too much information and room for us to know each other in this digital and diverse culture not to understand other religions, or those who are “in the family” of Abrahamic tradition. We are not our parent’s and they made cultural mistakes because of bad information and torn feelings. We are not our future children, we will make mistakes they will avoid, and think our music stinks too.

I, professionally and personally, am done with the ignorant mindset that God cares more about being called Jehovah than for the children suffering from malnutrition in the world at any given place, or those being persecuted in projects because of cyclical poverty or because of sexual orientation. There are amazing, progressive, and deeply faithful Jews, Christians, and Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and Atheists in every major city of every state in the United States and we need to meet one another, join together in our similarities, share in our differences, and become the change the world needs.

This “communal” effort will create covenants that will show the world that people can believe, serve, and unify to create a common good for all humanity. This is Jesus’ calling when the phrase “kingdom of God” is present in the gospel accounts. This is the shekinah glory of the God in the Old Testament, that glory of God as one. This is the tradition that speak of ‘the Most perfect, Most compassionate, Most merciful’ Allah in our brother/sisters’ Quran.
